The filming of Spider-Man: Homecoming” was recently concluded and the crew is ready for a sequel that will accompany the first film.

In an interview with WWD, Tom Holland who played the character of Peter Parker who is Spiderman, said Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures‘ are already talking about who should be the villain.

“My next project, I can’t tell you about, but we’ve just finished ‘Spider-Man’ and we’re talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we’re going,” Holland said.


The upcoming Marvel superhero film also stars Marisa Tomei as “Aunt May” the adoptive mother of Peter Parker, Robert Downey Jnr as Iron Man Donald Clover, Abraham Attah, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth Choi and Zendaya.

Directed by Jon Watts, the next Spider-Man film debuts in cinemas in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. Sony Pictures will finance and release the next instalment of the $4 billion Spider-Man franchise.

“Spider-Man” is currently the most successful franchise in the history of Sony Pictures.

Tom Holland made his debut as the superhero in “Captain America: Civil War.”
